The curious troublemaker who's always up to something.
About Me
Hey there! I'm Spots! I'm the most curious donkey you'll ever meet โ and probably the most mischievous too! I got my name from the spots on my coat, and I got my reputation from always getting into things I shouldn't. If a gate is slightly open, I'm going through it. If there's something new in the pasture, I'm checking it out first. Daphne is always shaking her head at me, but I can't help it โ the world is just too interesting! I love meeting new people, so come on over and let's be friends. I promise I'll behave... mostly!
My Personality
Spots is the class clown of the donkey herd. He's endlessly curious, always investigating, and frequently getting into gentle trouble. He's outgoing, playful, and has never met a stranger he didn't want to investigate. His mischievous nature keeps everyone entertained and on their toes.

Lifespan
25-35 years
Diet
Grass, hay, and small amounts of grain
Conservation Status
Common
Miniature donkeys originated on the Mediterranean islands of Sicily and Sardinia, where they were bred for their small size and gentle temperament. They were brought to the United States in the 1920s. Unlike standard donkeys, mini donkeys stand under 36 inches tall at the shoulder. They are naturally social, intelligent, and form lifelong bonds with their herd mates. Their large ears help them hear predators from far away and regulate their body temperature.
