About Me
Brrr, hello! I'm Snow! I'm the whitest, brightest chicken in the coop โ my feathers are as white as fresh snow on a winter morning. I'm a friendly, cheerful hen who loves attention and being around people. I'm the opposite of Midnight โ I'm out in the open, in the sunshine, looking dazzling! My bright white feathers make me easy to spot, so you'll have no trouble finding me. I love to chat with visitors (in chicken language, of course) and I'm always happy to pose for photos. Come visit me on a sunny day and watch my feathers sparkle!
My Personality

Conservation Status
Common
Chickens are descendants of the wild red junglefowl from Southeast Asia, domesticated over 8,000 years ago. White-feathered chickens are popular on farms because their clean appearance makes them easy to spot and their feathers don't show dirt as much as darker colors. Chickens keep themselves clean by taking 'dust baths' โ they roll in dirt to remove oil and parasites from their feathers! A chicken's feathers provide insulation, keeping them warm in winter and cool in summer. White chickens are especially popular in hot climates because white feathers reflect sunlight.
